TranscriptWebinar audio transcript

The Clean Energy Solutions Center, in partnership with the Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century (REN21), hosted this webinar on community renewable energy and citizens' involvement in the energy transition.

This webinar begins with an overview of REN21’s newly released Renewables 2016 Global Status Report and will then look at the role of renewables in communities. As REN21’s 2016 report shows, community energy initiatives are increasingly becoming a least-cost option for power supply for households and small businesses, and particularly in rural, off-grid locales. Webinar participants discuss what is needed to support community energy initiatives to realize their full potential.

The presentations will be followed by an interactive question and answer session with the audience.
