Al-Karim Govindji focuses on international projects on industrial energy efficiency. He is leading the UN’s SEforALL Industrial Accelerator to support 15 countries on driving energy efficiency deployment. He is also managing a £9m Industrial Energy Efficiency programme for BEIS working to support deployment of energy efficiency innovation across heavy and mid-energy intense sectors. He also ran international offshore wind projects in Europe, China and Japan, and he has deployed projects on smart meters in Colombia and CHP in Malaysia. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University and MBA from Oxford University.
