Eric Gibbs

Senior Director of Country and Regional Programs, CLASP

Mr. Gibbs oversees all of CLASP’s country and regional policy programs and projects around the world. He has over 15 years of experience in the design, implementation, management and financing of energy efficiency and energy access projects and programs working on behalf of international financial institutions, host governments and private companies in over 25 countries around the world. Mr. Gibbs received his master’s degree in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He is fluent in multiple languages.

With support from the Clean Energy Solutions Center, Mr. Gibbs and CLASP have supported the development of an energy efficiency standards and labeling program in Belize, as well as a regional standards harmonization initiative in the Caribbean. CLASP is also supporting the Solutions Center’s collaboration with the ECOWAS Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) to develop a roadmap for implementing a regional cookstove standards and labeling program, and to assess the status and potential opportunities for cookstove standards and labeling in ECOWAS member states.
