Senior Engineer, ITP Renewables

Julia is a senior engineer with experience leading large hybrid renewable energy projects for the World Bank and other donors in the Asia-Pacific region. Her expertise is primarily in the design and analysis of hybrid renewable energy generation and storage systems. In 2019, she is managing projects in the Marshall Islands, Fiji and the Federated States of Micronesia, featuring large-scale PV and battery energy storage systems and integration with diesel generators. Julia has eleven years’ experience in the energy industry, including nine years’ experience with field work in the Pacific Islands.

Julia has been involved in the electric vehicle industry for ten years and drives a vintage, electric Volkswagen Beetle that she converted and also a commercial electric vehicle (EV). She is the Australian representative on the IEA’s PV and EV workgroup, and has served as Vice President of the Australian EV Association for six years. She is on the board of the Canberra International EV Festival and has overseen the running of this successful event since its inauguration in 2009. Julia has given numerous presentations on electric vehicles at industry conferences. She has a Masters of Engineering (Electric Power Systems) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).
