Rodrigo has over 15 years of experience working with developing and emerging economies on transitioning towards sustainable development. His work in the Chilean public sector has been responsible for allocating incentives to a portfolio of more than 150 renewable energy projects, the design of new financial instruments, and providing policy inputs. Rodrigo led the regulatory agenda in Latin America for First Solar, as well as community outreach efforts. He has extensive management experience in the design and implementation of policies to encourage low-carbon energy technologies and climate-resilient infrastructure, at the interface of public institutions and global private corporations. Rodrigo received his diploma in environmental engineering from Universidad Católica de Chile and earned an MSc in technology policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States.
