During the World Future Energy Summit held in Abu Dhabi, Vickie Healey represented the Solutions Center during two side-event panel discussions. Healey co-presented with Solutions Center expert Toby Couture during a session titled “The Next Generation of Renewable Electricity Policies: How Rapid Change is Breaking Down Conventional Labels”. This session informed participants on the findings of a forthcoming Solutions Center report that evaluates the rapid changes occurring in the realm of renewable electricity policies.

The second event was titled “Renewables Readiness Assessment: Analyzing Impacts and Readiness for Investment in Sustainable Energy (RISE)”. Healey reviewed partnership activities underway with the International Renewable Energy Agency in the assessment process that are designed to provide country-level support with recommendations to enable renewable energy adoption. And, additional discussion focused on Solutions Center support of the World Bank's RISE initiative, which facilitates policymakers in the design and maintenance of the enabling environment for investment in sustainable energy, also a key component of the RRA process.
