La Organización de los Estados Americanos en asociación con el Centro de Soluciones de Energía Limpia y la Red Interamericana y Caribeña de Pequeños Hoteles (INCAPH) organizazado un seminario web sobre gestión energética para pequeños hoteles el 16 de noviembre de 2017. El propósito del Webinar estaba promover el uso de energía asequible, confiable, sostenible y moderna entre los pequeños y medianos hoteles en las Américas.
Existe una creciente preocupación con respecto a cómo se genera, entrega y consume la electricidad, especialmente entre los hoteles pequeños y medianos. El papel de la eficiencia energética y la generación de energía está desatando el potencial y la promesa de un futuro energético mejor, más limpio, más confiable y más asequible.
El webinar incluido tres presentaciones, una sobre la experiencia del Ministerio de Energía de Chile con la mejora de la eficiencia energética asociada con la implementación de la política energética nacional de Chile. La presentación incluido una descripción general de las opciones de ahorro, a través de auditorías energéticas para identificar oportunidades y mejoras de procesos con un buen uso de la energía.
La segunda presentación se centrado en fondos de capital de riesgo para apoyar proyectos de eficiencia energética y energía renovable para pequeñas y medianas empresas.
La tercera presentación destacada el proyecto Nearly Zero Emissions Hotels (NEZEH). Descrito el proyecto que se desarrolló a partir de la directiva europea sobre la construcción de edificios de consumo de energía casi nulo para edificios nuevos. NEZEH tiene como objetivo diseñar y restaurar hoteles para convertirlos en edificios de baja emisión, y la presentación compartado las medidas adoptadas y los principales resultados del proyecto.
Energy Management: Benefits, Challenges and Energy-saving Opportunities in Small and Medium-sized Hotels
The Clean Energy Solutions Center, in partnership with The Organization of American States and the Inter-American and Caribbean Network of Small Hotels (INCAPH), hosted this webinar on energy management for small hotels. It was intended to promote affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy usage among small and medium-sized hotels in the Americas.
There is increasing concern regarding how electricity is generated, delivered and consumed, especially among small and medium-sized hotels. The role of energy efficiency and energy generation is unleashing the potential for and promise of a better, cleaner, more reliable and affordable energy future.
The webinar featured three presentations, beginning with one on the Chilean Ministry of Energy’s experience with improving energy efficiency associated with the implementation of Chile's national energy policy. It included an overview of the savings options through energy audits to identify opportunities and process improvements with good energy use.
The second presentation focused on venture capital funds to support energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for small and medium-sized companies.
The third presentation highlighted the Nearly Zero Emissions Hotels (NEZEH) project. It described the project, which was developed out of the European directive on the construction of buildings of almost zero energy consumption for new buildings. NEZEH aims to design and refurbish hotels in order to convert them into low-emission buildings, and the presentation shared the measures taken and the project’s main results.
The presentations were followed by an interactive question and answer session with the audience.
