The Clean Energy Ministerial has announced a new campaign to speed up the deployment of electric vehicles and target at least 30 per cent new electric vehicle sales by 2030. The EV 30@30 campaign will support the market for electric passenger cars, light commercial vans, buses and trucks. It will also work towards the deployment of charging infrastructure to supply sufficient power to the vehicles deployed. Learn more.

Partners shared their newest commitments to the Energy Management Campaign with an international assembly of high-level clean energy leaders attending the 8th Clean Energy Ministerial, which took place June 6–8 in Beijing. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is partnering with governments, communities and the private sector to support clean energy projects in the Pacific region by helping install PV systems on five of the Cook Islands to help the government achieve its goal of supplying 100 per cent of inhabited islands with renewable energy by 2020. Vietnam has confirmed a long-awaited feed-in tariff (FIT) scheme for utility-scale solar projects along with a net metering scheme for rooftop PV systems.
