As part of its Energia + Mujer programme, Chile’s Ministry of Energy last week held an international conference to promote the participation of women in the clean energy sector, with the support from the Ministry of Women and Gender Equality, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Energy Agency.

Egypt could generate up to 53 per cent of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030, according to a new report by the International Renewable Energy Agency. The Renewable Energy Outlook: Egypt report finds that pursuing higher shares of renewable energy could reduce the country’s energy bill by up to USD 900 million annually in 2030.
